Shane GreenShane Green co-founded The Map Network in 1999, and has led its growth ever since. Shane was previously Vice President and Director of Witten Technologies, Inc., the world leader in near-surface imaging and mapping for the construction and utility industries, which won The Wall Street Journal's Software Innovation of the Year Award. Prior to that he was Executive Director of the Study Group Program at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, where he was part of the founding staff of the International Crisis Group. Shane is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, serves on the Board of Stewards of the Institute for Education and is a frequent lecturer on entrepreneurship, mapping and new media at business schools and professional conferences. He serves as the Chair of the 2005-2006 Allied Member Advisory Council of the Destination Marketing Association International, which represents over 600 Convention and Visitor Bureaus and Destination Marketing Organizations around the world. He graduated with High Honors and Distinction from the University of Michigan, and postponed work on his M.B.A. at the University of Chicago to launch The Map Network.
Edin SaracevicEdin Saracevic is the creative force behind The Map Network, and directly oversees all design and product development for the company. He was the Founder and President of MapA Productions, Inc., which developed high-end advertising-supported print maps in Europe. Previously, he was the President of Principe and MMM public relations and marketing companies in Sarajevo, Bosnia - Herzegovina, as well as an award-winning movie producer whose works were featured at the 1994 Berlin Film Festival. He received his B.A. from the University of Sarajevo.
Douglas WheelerDoug Wheeler is responsible for managing all company operations, and for the development of the events markets and overall sales. He co-founded New World Publishing, Inc. in 1994, which owned and operated the largest English language business newspapers in Eastern Europe – including the Warsaw Business Journal, the Budapest Business Journal, and the Prague Business Journal, where he also served as Publisher for three years. These critically acclaimed newspapers became the standard for anyone following business or economic developments in Eastern Europe. Doug graduated cum laude from Claremont McKenna College, and received his M.B.A. with Honors from the University of Chicago. Doug is an active leader in the events industry, including serving as a committee Co-Chair for the Association of Meeting Professionals.
Tarik KurspahicTarik Kurspahic is responsible for research and development, for the launch of MapsIT 2.0, and for technical integration with TMN's partners. He was previously Director of Graphic Design and Information Technologies at Connection Newspapers, a weekly publication that serves 15 local markets in the Washington, DC area with a circulation of 500,000. He also did development work for Real Player's online media software. Tarik has won the Virginia Press Award for his design work. He graduated magna cum laude from Salem College with a degree in computer science.
